Job Description:

Our Client is a unique, niche and ambitious developer that operate mainly in the South West of England and cover areas such as Basingstoke, Bath, Bristol, Salisbury and Swindon. They pride themselves on building high quality, sustainable homes that are inexpensive to live in and that environmentally focused. They currently build on average over 180 homes a year but have the capability, planning permission and resources to take this to over 1300 units a year. The main focus of the company is providing excellent developments with space standards that properly respect the people that are going to live in them.

Scheme – South West England

The Scheme is a Flag ship development delivering over 450 units across a 5 year period. This development is heavily timber frame oriented but will include a block of traditional build flats as well. The first phase is kicking off in February and this will include over 70 units in the first phase alone. The scheme will be a continuous cycle which means that once one phase is finished they will commence with the new phase.

Project Manager – Up to £65,000 + Package (Car Allowance, Healthcare and Pension)

We are looking for a Project Manager that will be overserving the overall build process for this particular scheme. The Project Manager will be number one on this scheme and they should have experience in regards to management of other managers and sub-contractors. Residential development experience is preferred but it is not essential for the candidate to come a residential background and they would look at candidates from contracting background that have done residential before. The client is flexible in regards to background but it is essential for the candidate to have managed large schemes at this level before. The client is looking for candidate that are systematic, processed and methodical. The Project Manager should be a driver and an influential figure for other members of management. The reason why the client is very particular on this requirements is because they are looking to promote the Project Manager to a Contracts Manager position within the two year period of this scheme.

The candidate will be report into the Construction Director.        

Duties include:

·         Managing and Co-coordinating the Programed works

·         Managing Subcontractors

·         Carrying out quality assurance

·    Manage an intense snagging process due to the high spec product being delivered

·         Manage logistics

·         Liaising with customer care

·         Ensuring the site is maintained in a clean and safe manner

·         Implementing Health and Safety

·         Chairing meetings


Our client is offering up to £65,000 + Package depending on experience. This can be further negotiated depending on the individual.
