Job Description:

The Company:

The company operate in Central London refurbishment and fit out markets, with a strong ethos focused around delivering quality construction services that aim to build long-lasting client relationships. Currently, they have a turnover of £100million and are expecting with the current market to get to a £150million turnover in the next 2 years. They have a three teams split across their work load in High end residential, Education, Hotels and Museums; these include heavy refurbishment cut & carve, new build and fit out. The 3 teams work focus on their own disciplines New build and residential / fit out / refurbishment covering projects from £500k to £20m+.  They work with all forms of contract and they often use bespoke contracts for both clients and sub-contractors, the majority of their work is either two-stage or negotiated with a high proportion of work coming from repeat business. They are currently in the process of successfully adding a multitude of exciting projects to their pre-existing and established pipeline of work, and owing to their structured growth plans they are looking to expand their commercial team and are currently looking to fill the following vacancies:

The Role:

I am currently looking for a Project Surveyor to join their team working on their bespoke flagship project in Central London. The project is a £10m refurbishment of a Grade II listed building, previously damaged by Fire. The scope of works include full external refurbishment to match original façade, internal fit out with bespoke fittings such as a customised organ, demountable side galleries, complex timber frame lattice ceiling and a high-tech M&E package.

The responsibilities of this role is as follows:

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or client.

Cost analysis, performing risk, value management & cost control.

Providing effective advice on procurement strategy.

Allocating work to subcontractors. 

The requirements and desirable experience for this role:

Able to manage risk and carry out value engineering.

Record of seeing out a project from start to finish.

Being quality focused and committed to delivering the optimum results.

UK experience is a must for this company.

The company has a very diverse and esteemed portfolio, which includes some of their other current ongoing projects:

£15m (JCT 2-stage) mixed-use scheme, combination of office and high-end residential units with a complete internal fit out over 7 storeys.

£6m London School refurbishment, High-spec fit out and external refurbishment in a live environment.

£5m (JCT D+B) London Bridge, heavy refurbishment of mixed use office blocks and residential units.
