Job Description:

The Company

A leading independent developer located in North West London who have been operating for over 40 years’ with a clear focus on attention to detail which has underpinned the company’s success whilst moving into the new build housing development and refurbishment sector are looking to add to their commercial team.

The successful projects to date encompass new build and refurbishment schemes up to £50m in Central and West London.

Senior Quantity Surveyor x2 Positions – Salary up to £80,000 + Package

Job Purpose

To take the full commercial responsibility and ownership of project, working closely with the Commercial manager and the whole construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk. Be commercially aware and influential within the individual team, across departments and promote the business in a positive and professional light with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume the responsibility for and administer all project commercial and contractual issues including;

• From Tender award compile and agree commercial strategy, communicate and follow within the Commercial and Construction teams, amend as required during the project

• Conclude timely setting of formal commercial budget, monitor and review accordingly.

• Ensure accurate commercial performance, timely compliance with company procedures and reports.

• Prelims – establish and maintain influence, controls, monitoring

• Follow the prescribed timings for Applications, Invoicing and Payments – both internal and external.

• Prepare and present forecasts, targets and CV reconciliations

• Variations recover all due entitlement in good time

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate capable subcontractors and finalising subcontractors, financial and commercial management to final account completion.

• Manage and oversea junior commercial staff

• Ensure timely and accurate reports are issued

• Making sure timely payment and adequate cash management positions are maintained.
