Project Manage – London – New Build Residential – £70,000 - £85,000 All In (Depending On Experience)

The Company:

Our client is a London based Residential Contractor that has been established for over 7 years. This business has the perfect mix of the big company feel with small company values and has a very different ethos and setup compared to most of their key competitors as they focus mainly on the affordable housing sector. Our client has an annual turnover of 130 million and is a subsidiary of Major Business. This business offers progression, training and an enormous amount of career and project opportunities. They deliver a mixture of Traditional and Design and Build Schemes and have a large number of projects under construction within London, up to 400 units.  Their latest developments are a 300 unit mixed traditional and R.C Frame development. And a development will consisting of the design and construction of 147 residential properties plus roads, parking and courtyard landscaping.

The Role/Project:

We are looking for an experience Project Manager for a Residential scheme in West London.

The Project:

• 95 Units - £22 Million – New Build Residential

This person will report into the Construction Director and will take overall responsibility for this Projects delivery including Financial Aspects of the schemes and will get involved from preconstruction through to completion. The schemes will all be New Build Residential Projects that consist of both RC Frame Flats and Traditional Houses and education elements.


• Liaise with the Client and their advisors to fully understand their needs and expectations.

• Planning

• Develop the Project Programme, short term programmes, as built programmes and monitor / report progress as required.

• Be responsible for instructing and co-ordinating Designers, Technical Consultants and Sub-contractors during the contract period.

• Construction and implementation of Prelims

• Overall responsibility of Commercial and Delivery of projects.

• Managing a team consisting of Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Site Managers.

• Apply the performance management procedures for direct reports and the specific projects.

• Help to resolve technical problems ensuring work is carried out to the correct specification and QA standards

• Pre-qualification Questionnaires

Candidate’s Basic Requirements:

• A complete understanding of the construction process and a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the construction industry and preferably Residential.

• Experience performing in the Project Manager position

• A professional Qualification, e.g. Degree in Construction Management/ Engineer/Civil Engineer or HMD, or come from a trade background.

• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid Certification.

• Previous relevant experience of both Private and Social housing schemes is preferable
