Job Description:

Our client are looking for an construction/site manager who has experience running a project as a stand-alone manager on commercial fit out and refurbishment projects up to £3m in value. All of their projects will be pre- programmed and pre-procured with the successful candidate being responsible site set and on site operations through to PC and handover.


We are currently working with a well-known commercial fit out and refurbishment contractor who have built up an excellent reputation since the inception. They amassed a turnover of circa £40m in 2015 and in accordance to their business plan are projecting £55m for 2016. Their projects typically range between £2m and £6m with their client base ranging between banks, financial institutions, legal practises and blue chip companies.

Their current management structure consists of 3 project directors overseeing their own work stream each with a cost centre of around £15m - £18m with a two contracts managers and a team of construction managers reporting to them.  Moving forward each PD will report to a contracts director and managing director.

At the start of the year they made a strategic appointment and bought across an experienced and well known project director from one of the top tier fit out contractors to operate as their forth project director. This individual is a ‘face’ within the fit out industry and is looking to build a team beneath him. They already have a pipeline of projects live on site and are looking to establish a cost centre of £15m by the end of 2016.
