Site Manager

Job Description:


Our client are well known and well established residential principal contractor who have been operating for the over 90 years, whilst establishing themselves as one of the market leaders within this sector. They specialise in super prime residential project refurbishments in central London, west end and the Surrey area. Their projects range from luxury fit outs to heavy structural alterations incorporating retained facades and basement formations under existing prime building. Their turnover at present is circa £70m and as part of their structured business plan they are projecting to bring in £82m this year. At this point they will continue their business plan by focussing on their efficiency to improve their profit margins in a calculated way. Traditionally their average project value range is between £10m - £20m; however, they do take on projects either side of this.

Currently they have various live and coming to an end projects circa £10m - £30m in value and at the opposite end of the scale they have a few smaller projects between £1m - £3m in value. They currently have 12 live projects with approximately 50% of their work is negotiated with direct users the final coming from two stage tenders. Our client prides themselves on building long standing relationships with clients and end users leading to a number of recommendations and referrals. They have built up an outstanding reputation for professionalism and completing all of their projects to the highest of standards.

Project examples:

·         £30m – Marylebone, Demolition of an existing property, new build property, double basement formation, RC frame, high spec fit out

·         £28m – Mayfair, Heavy cut and carve refurbishment, retained façade, underpinning, basement formation, high spec fit out

·         £9m – Chelsea, High specification refurbishment and extension


Role: Site Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + package

Our client is actively looking for site managers who come from a variety of background. Specifically, managers with a proven track record of working cut & carve refurbishment sector operation as a standalone or as part of a team. In addition, our client is looking for up and coming candidates who come from wither a trade or degree background with 2-5 years’ post grad experience within the residential sector. This candidate must be driven to progress and develop their career with one of the leaders in the industry with the aim to move into project management in the future. Our client offer fantastic bespoke training programmes for each individual and he exposure to working on some of the highest specification projects in London and surrounding counties for high net worth individual.


£21.5m Grade II listed, Country Estate

This project consists of £3.5m worth on ancillary work on two properties on the estate followed by an £18m part new build, part refurbishment on a luxury residence. Work consists of the demolition of one wing with a single basement excavation, two storey steel frame new build with brick and blockwork infill and high specification internal fit out. Along with bespoke refurbishment and elements of restoration to the rest of the property.
